Accessibility Statement

The Midwest Environmental Justice Network wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people who use screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology.

Our approach

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our guide. These are international standards for making websites easier for people with disabilities to use.

When we add pages or features, we try to follow these guidelines in our design, code, and content. We use tools like WAVE, along with color contrast checks and keyboard testing.

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some parts of our site may not yet meet these standards, and we are working to improve them over time.

Known limitations

  • Some older PDFs and documents may not be fully accessible.
  • Some content comes from other platforms, like videos, maps, forms, or shared documents. We can't always control how accessible those are.

If you need any content in a different format, contact us and we'll help.

Contact us

If something on our website is hard to use, please tell us. Email us at info@mwejn.org.

It helps if you tell us:

  • the page address (URL)
  • what you were trying to do
  • what went wrong
  • the browser or assistive technology you were using, if you know

We aim to respond within 10 business days.
