Next Monday, January 16th marks the deadline for public commenting on two EPA policy updates. In 2024, the EPA is making changes to its Meaningful Involvement Policies, and is looking to improve drinking water safety with their Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI).
Midwest Environmental Justice Network & Partners Selected as Thriving Communities Regional Grantmaker
Alongside our regional grantmaker partners, the NDN Collective, RE-AMP and The Minneapolis Foundation, we will be collaborating to administer $40 million in small grants to Tribes and grassroots Environmental Justice organizations throughout the EPA’s Region 5 (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin). Our goal is to ensure that these dollars reach as many Native, remote, rural and urban Environmental Justice communities as possible.
